This edition is a significant downgrade from previous ADC Greater Washington. The counties are no longer color coded, the new 4 digit page numbers are a terrible idea; I find it much harder to navigate around between pages. Also, the shopping centers are now the same color as the schools?!? And they got rid of the nice large light orange metro station rectangles and replaced with a TINY green circle S that blends in with the other circle letter landmarks. Some secondary roads are yellow now and some are red, what for? Again just harder to find things at quick glance.Boo.

The well-written text is clear and descriptive. The illustrations provide many details of the setting in Bangladesh, of Iqbal's dreaming and planning, and of the details of the solar cooker. Through Iqbal and His Ingenious Idea, I gained a window into life in a foreign country – learning about monsoon season, the religion (the book takes place during Ramadan), and the air pollution experienced by Bangladesh’s inhabitants. The book covers a range of topics, woven elegantly throughout the pages – family bonds, sustainability, entrepreneurship, the benefits of education, and passion for science. Mostly, I am in awe of Ms. Suneby’s focus on making the world a better place, giving inspiration to others to be creative and to try to find solutions to problems and to educate others on third world issues. The illustrations are beautiful and will draw elementary children in. I especially appreciated the additional information about Clean Cookstoves and the “Do-It-Yourself” instructions in case I want to try making my own solar cooker.

After reading Elizabeth Suneby’s previous book, Razias Ray of Hope, I preordered this one. My grandchildren (aged 4 and 6) loved this story about Iqbal. It evoked a conversation about children being raised around the world, their living conditions and their culture. Additionally we discussed the idea of “sustainability” and caring for the earth on a global scale. The illustrations are beautiful. I highly recommend this book for all young citizens of the world. It gives me hope.

Another inspiring and heartwarming story from one of America’s most creative childrens’ authors. And beautifully illustrated. This is a tale that celebrates international understanding, creativity, science education, and local entrepreneurship. A joy to read and to read aloud to your favorite young people.

With the help of his teacher and sister, Iqbal creates a smokeless solar oven so cooking is healthier for his family and there is less pollution in the city.The illustrations are absolutely beautiful and there are lots of different themes to address in this book (poverty, pollution, sustainability, Ramadan). I really like the inclusion of more information about smokeless cooking, a DIY clean stove project and glossary at the back of the book. My creative boys enjoyed hearing the story of how Iqbal developed a way to cook with solar power in his home in Pakistan. They enjoyed his creativity, and his concern for his mother and baby sister was lovely. One of my children did raise the question, though, how a gas cooker would be more sustainable than cooking with wood; this book makes you think that gas is the ultimate fuel.I received an ecopy of this book from NetGalley and chose to write a review.

This is an amazing series of translations, and a sheer joy to sit, ponder and to read. I am so glad Daniel Matt, Nathan Wolski and the others who contributed to this series have the dedication they do - it shows. This collection has finally gotten a well deserved make-over. This is a great cookbook for someone who wants to eat healthy. I've tried two recipes so far and have quite a few more marked to try. It does have quite a few seafood recipes but I guess more people like fish than don't. There are plenty of other recipes to try.

This is my new favorite Jamie Oliver cookbook. I've only made the first three recipes (Baked Eggs in Popped Beans, Cherry Tomatoes, Ricotta on Toast; Granola Dust; and Magic Poached Eggs, Smashed Avo & Seeded Toast), but those three recipes were amazing. They were delicious, filling, and weren't nearly as time consuming to make as I thought they would be. Some of the recipes do require specialty ingredients, but they are easy enough to substitute. For example, instead of hazelnut milk for one of the recipes I'll be using almond milk, and I'll probably substitute brown rice for black rice. But it's not a big enough inconvenience to take away any stars. Can't wait to try the other recipes!

I love Jamie and have nearly all of his books. Going back to the very first cook book I ever received as a gift (Naked Chef) to present. I've cooked numerous of his seemingly endless culinary ideas and unless I f'd up myself, they ALL are at least as good as I had hoped. Even the ones I didn't like, I felt it was b/c of something I knew I personally failed on my end. I use them mostly in phases. This one not so much, great ideas, but not as inspired as his earlier efforts in my thinking, but as a healthier ideal, I am not so enthusiastic to engage full-on. I like food that's simple, tasty and healthy. I s'pose it's a matter of getting used to doing the SUPER FOOD concepts more fully, so they can become second nature, much like the other great things he's inspired in my life and joys when I am cooking for the familia.

I really enjoy this cookbook! I think the nutritional information is great. Each recipe has a complete breakdown on calories, proteins, fats, etc. It also tells you how many of your 5 day fruits and veggies you're getting. My only complaint is a personal one. I'm not a seafood eater and there are tons of fish and seafood recipes so those are lost on me, but I figure can easily be swapped with some chicken. The health information, beautiful images, Jamie's celebration of good nutritious and easy food is a winner. I look forward to cooking from this book for a long time.

Great cookbook! I wasn't sure if I still wanted a book as I go online mostly for recipes. It's a great option for inspiration and ideas I wouldn't have thought of. Most recipes are super clearly given so you can't mess up (mostly). Great theme too as it matches exactly how I've been trying to eat. Great snack and cook ahead options for the week. All round fun cookbook.

Outstanding book written by someone who is truly passionate about what he does. Beyond recipes, there is plenty of good nutritional education provided toward the end of the book. I like the size and quality of the book ad the photography is well done. Even if you don't cook but a couple items in this book, I think it provides a real inspiration on how to make healthier choices.

Beautiful cookbook with gorgeous photos of every recipe covering every meal option including snacks and drinks. This is a deep dive into incredible food inspired by the Blue Zones of the world. Blue Zones are areas where centenarians thrive as a by-product of their good health, nutrition, culture and vitality. Some of the recipes are featured in Season 1 of Jamie's Super Food series which can also be purchased through Amazon Prime Video. The recipes are fresh, simple and provide good choices for great food that you can feel good about serving.This is, hands down, my favorite cookbook since Thug Kitchen entered the cookbook scene - and I highly recommend all of their cookbooks too!

Some great recipes. But still a bit "Jamie-ish"... don't expect precise directions, though this one is much better than his others. Love the book, but be a cook when using it and don't follow blindly...

We enjoy camping in state parks and on federal lands. Our first atlas was the Benchmark for New Mexico and is most useful, with camping and recreation information arranged adjacent to the relevant area map. Unfortunately, the Delorme series, while also providing excellent maps is not as useful. Scant information is included in just a few pages at the beginning and end of the guide. Where Benchmark details description of the facility, address, hours, # sites, directions, phone numbers and websites, the Delorme offers only charts listing parks with limited information.While the relative lack of information is disappointing, the grouping of all that information in the front and back of the atlas is the most frustrating. To plan a visit to a particular area requires using the map references in the charts in the front of the atlas to find parks and attractions in that area. With my Benchmark guides, the information is there at a glance.

The best source for topographic maps of Oklahoma I have found.The computerized ones... well, suitable for most purposes but not something for a bugout bag.This is too large to fit in my bugout bag. I planned to put it in the lid pocket, but it's a tad big for that. So it's staying in the vehicle and in an emergency, a few seconds with a razor blade can remove a page and put it in my field gear map case.I haven't knocked down a star for it being larger than I wanted because I am a realist and understand that there are limitations on size. Let's face it, all the topographic maps for an entire state in one book... can't beat that with a stick. And if you buy individual quadrangle topographic maps, you'll definitely pay much more.

Great for anyone who ventures away from their dorm room for extended periods of time. A must and secondary map source for whitewater kayakers and or hikers alike in any US state. Great maps and fairly well updated information.

Good product EXCEPT that Delorme repeated an error from previous version. "Points of interest" in Tulsa still mentions Bells Amusement Park. Don't try to go there! It closed some 15 years ago. Boo!

I received my order very quickly. The map seems to be as described and very easy to use. I like that a wax pencil can be used and then cleaned off. Some of the reviews mentioned missing roads and such, I haven't had that problem. What I have realized is this, the publisher utilized old maps to copy from. As it sits, I have no complaints with the map. Should I discover a problem, I will update. I can currently recommend this map. (Even an old map is better than no map, and a laminated map makes a great addition to a SHTFBOB.)

I am pleased with the Oklahoma Atlas and Gazeteer. The only thing I didn't find is a tiny dead-end road that some friends of ours live on. It is just not on the map. But the rest of it is great. Very detailed, shows water features clearly and parks, too. We like to go to country garage and yard sales, and this will be a handy thing to have on hand.

This book is awesome! Want to get around Oklahoma effortlessly? You gotta get this Gazetteer.It is extremely detailed, like none other.Its well worth the money for just one or two trips. PLUS they make these for every state.......I have one for every sate we travel to, all are priceless when on the road!

This atlas is about 11" x 15" and shows a lot of good info about the state in the 67 separate maps included. The maps are at a 1:200,000 scale, which gives some good details. Most roads, lakes, and rivers are named, and the maps use shading and elevation lines to show topography. Actual elevations are not shown, except for mountain peaks, which show names and elevations. Many landmarks are shown, as well as campgrounds and sporting locations. For those who want to learn more about a state, these books are well worth the money.
